Living in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, I grew up going fishing and swimming in local lakes. Water Carnival represents my whimsical take on the life that is happening just beneath the surface of the water! Each lake is different from the next, but some of the common themes while walking the shoreline are willows reaching over the water's edge, dandelions with butterflies fluttering about and ferns drifting gently in the breeze. Textured Squares reminds me of the ripples left behind on the water's surface after skipping the perfectly flat stone...so much life at the water's edge!
